The open formula doesn't limit expression; instead, it brings together various currents and forms of expression in Szczecin. Before the eyes of painting enthusiasts, critics, and collectors, a panorama of styles unfolds, demonstrating the multidirectional nature of creative thinking in art. The richness and diversity in art are best expressed by a quote from Władysław Tatarkiewicz: „(...) art is the reproduction of things, or the construction of forms, or the expression of experiences – if the result of this reproduction, construction, expression is capable of captivating, moving, or shaking”.
Painting, as an art form equated with poetry, always holds its ground emotionally, provided that the artist creates a work under the influence of inner necessity – a spiritual one. The artist must be conscious of confronting their expression with the works of others, aware that their creations resulting from the act of creation, in a one-on-one situation, will become part of the collective consciousness. The artist must recognize that their proposal in painting brings something new and significant in form, something that will be noticed and distinguished.
Submitting to the judgment of a jury is an act of courage, but also of acceptance and a certain form of experience that can influence future creativity.
